At xenologo, we're not ones to try and lose you while we're explaining something fiddly. So here's a list of answered questions that refuse to go away, and some important stuff that will quench your information thirst. If you have more questions, feel free to email them.

 

"Do I really need a website?"

Honestly? No. But just like not having a business card, you're hurting yourself without it. A website can do a lot of work for you. It can simply be like having someone on the phone for you every hour of every day, answering questions about your business. Just like thumbing through the yellow pages, a potential customer searching the internet for a particular service isn't going to find you if you're not there.

 

"How much do you charge?"

Here's our rate structure (as of 1st July 2010):

"I need lots of pages, but I don't want a $6000 bill"

We can come up with a more flexible pricing system.

 

"What's a domain?"

A domain is the address of your site. For example, xenologo.com. What you're paying for is registration fees.

 

"What is hosting?"

Hosting is the space where your site resides on the internet. Really big sites need lots of space, smaller sites don't need much at all.

 

"What if I already have a site?"

Then you won't have to pay for a domain or hosting.

 

"What if I don't like my new site?"

We're done when you are happy.

 

"What's the meaning of life?"

Actually never been asked that...

 

"Can I change my site if I want to?"

If you want to be able to update your site yourself, we can show you how to do that, yes.

 

"I think i killed my site!"

Then we charge you triple to get it going again. No, not really. We can re-upload your site for you. Accidents happen.

 

"This FAQ didn't help me!"
